Getting back to a time before Glen Beck’s appendix operation

November 7, 2009

Having earlier this year experienced something similar to what Glen Beck is going through (a life-threatening infection, not the total loss of connection with reality) I can sincerely offer him my sympathy and hope for a speedy recovery.  And, so does Jon Stewart:

And if you don’t know; yes, Glen Beck really is like that.  Stewart nailed it exactly, with almost no exaggeration for comedic effect.

Since I don’t watch Mr. Beck’s show, or otherwise follow what he says, Mr. Stewart’s performance is lost on me. (I don’t watch his show, either).

I really don’t care a fig for what those in the “public eye” say. Even if I more likely would agree with them or not.

Stewart does a spot-on imitation of Beck here, without exaggerating much.  Maybe not at all.

I wouldn’t care what Glen Beck says except that he has political power.  Not enough to do anything constructive: he couldn’t build a new tire, but he can certainly poke holes in existing tires.
