Pretty! It’s weird - I hate thunderstorms with a passion, but damn, I miss those skies! There’s nothing like a good thunderstorm working itself to a fury over the mountains in Arizona - the clouds up here in Seattle are usually just boring compared to that.

That said…. can’t say as I miss the “Aw, crap, there goes the forest” moments. Problem with AZ is, when we get the storm but no rain, the lightning sets the pine trees up in flames like a thousand tiki torches. Yeow! At least Seattle isn’t prone to catching on fire. Or having tornadoes….

It’s another cloud. And in the distance behind and to the left of the thunderhead is another thunderhead, sharing the same upper limit.

I wish people could go up on the water tower just to do sky photography. Impractical, I know.

Don’t you love to watch the “heat” lightning, the stuff way off in the distance during the evening/early night?

Is that dark cloud just above and left of the power pole at the center the shadow of the cloud in front of the thunderhead or is it just another cloud?
