Book find
A great find at my neighbor’s book saleAnyone have any suggestions for who’s
I’ve been trying to de-accumulate books - a Sisyphean task as I keep finding new ones. This one is from my neighbor’s book sale. He is a retired scholar whose personal collection is for sale (which will probably make some fortunate rare book dealer VERY happy someday). I know from experience it is not easy to let go of good books, though.
This book is not rare, and it’s a steal “as-is” for only $5. My neighbor said; “That’s a great book - I studied it back in grad school. Where are the Russells when we need them now?”
You said it, Mr. Frinsko.
Not that my reading list needed to get any longer but I’m really looking forward to this one. Is anyone currently filling the void left by Bertrand Russell?
Update:
- For a sample of Russell’s writing, here’s an electronic version of his famous essay; Why I am not a Christian
- John Wilkins over at Evolving Thoughts posts aa Q&A essay by Russell on agnosticism
