Happy New Year DOF. Don’t know why, but I’ve got a good feeling about this one.

Of course that might just be gas.

I really like your post, DOF! It’s thought provoking.  I’m very sorry to hear of your head injuries.  That sucks.

I wish you happiness, health, peace, love, and prosperity for the coming year!

I definitely feel the handbasket picking up speed.

Don’t worry, looks like the handbasket is slowing down. Or maybe it’s the wheels that just flew off. :-)

    Only 363 days to go!!!!

For many people, $100 oil is part & parcel of the handbasket tipping over the edge into free-fall.  I saw a headline on Faux news the other day: “Record oil prices – have Dems failed to keep their promise?”  (a promise to do what, rewrite laws of supply and demand?)

But to me it’s a trigger to spur more innovation in energy.  It gets the imagination going.  All of a sudden those alternatives don’t seem so far-fetched.

I read this post earlier and came back to read it out loud to my husband as well. What an enjoyable article of the past and present!  It made me wonder, however, how will we get email in one year, or five? I really do enjoy sitting down at a computer just to read my emails and can’t imagine any other way…much along the same line of thinking as Revere’s Mom, whose generation saw so many outstanding changes.
A very Happy New Year to all of your family, and best wishes for good health and much happiness!
