Way too funny… that’s why I vote for the underdog… did you get that clue Gerry?
Ha ha…. oh but to be fair then add the Rep for how to shave millions off your taxes, how to make the average guy pay for health care for the illegals, how to have sex without “actually” having sex, how to spend money that we don’t have nor will ever have, how to get the average joe’s of America to pay for upper managements mis-management, how to slip in favors into bills that are rushed through congress when being signed…
Come on, the list goes both ways here. Democracy corrupt isn’t just a Republican’s game you know. I really thinks it applies to almost all politicians…
How many Democrats have had sex scandals, swindled America by not paying their taxes and gotten themselves in hot water because they opened up their big mouth once too often and spoke the truth? or a lie, which ever, or all of the above?
Just my 2 cents worth, or 1cent due to inflation and saving the bums of AIG, General Motors and all the other corrupt upper managements that still got their pensions, raises and bonuses after going broke… no animosity here, you think?
Corporations have their hooks into both parties – somewhat into the Democratic party, but the Republican is a wholly-owned subsidiary. And yes, Democrats are human and sometimes get in sex scandals. Difference is that for the most part, they generally don’t wrap themselves in the bible beforehand.
Just three presidents – Reagan and the two Bushes, have presided over 70% of the US debt. Now the current president has inherited the mess and everyone’s mad he hasn’t fixed everything in 200 days. History suggests it will take longer than that, especially with the reps above trying to throw every wrench they can in the works.
Like I said, why can’t we all just play in the sandbox and get along? Play fair? Treat each other with respect and get away from all the hidden agendas?
It’s bad on both sides… neither side has a leg to stand on in regards to playing fair. And the media sure doesn’t play favorites now does it…
So if it’s all the Republican’s fault, who started it all then? The chicken or the egg? Hmm… seems like a science project is brewing here… research is my best friend. Now if only I gave a darn about it all, then it would be fun.
I have this aversion to trying to paddle up the creek without a paddle. But then again, I always like the rapids the most.
I think if anyone wants to make the claim the dems are just as bad as the repubs, then that “anyone” needs some evidence to back it up. The data seems pretty well skewed in the republican direction.
LOL! Yea what a horrible and menacing organization ACORN is. Helping the the poor and socially forgotten to get homes and to register to vote. It’s truly disgusting seeing anyone stick up for such lowlife scum. Even if you could solely pinpoint ACORN to Dems, why would they ever want to be associated with such an abomination?
And the fact that they are being indited for fraud and all, I guess all the good work outweighs the cheating and lying…
And I don’t drink cool aid… I have a fresh water well. No city water with that good ol’ fluoride and chlorine in it.
I remember way back when I was still living in California that they told us that we shouldn’t be taking hot showers because of the respiratory problems with the amount of chlorine that was in the water. Something about the same type of chlorine that was used to gas the jews during the holocaust. Oh and the chlorine is in there to protect us from all the bacteria in the water and the fluoride is for what exactly that is not good for us anymore?
So my point is, not everything that is given to us may be good for us. At least all the time.
The school library assistant, an elderly lady in her 70’s to be sure, mentioned that after having her 6th child, the doctor came in to see her. She reached for a cigarette and the doctor asked her if she had one to spare. They lit up together as she was breast feeding her day old infant.
Just another example of how science sometimes takes time to catch up with itself.
1cent, Fox news much? Yes a bunch of cons have their panties in a bunch because Acorn did a horrible thing – helped poor people get to a place where they could vote for Obama if they wanted to. So they went all Kenneth Starr on their asses to dig up whatever they could. You want to dig into a party-connected organization, try Blackwater.
When the Democrats invade the wrong freaking country, gut environmental laws for the oil companies’ benefit, and bring alternative energy research all but to a halt, let me know. When the Democrats turn FEMA into a crony network when it had been a serious professional agency, we’ll talk. When the Democrats institutionalize torture and drag our country into the mud with no moral high ground at all, greatly simplifying terrorist recruiting, then there’s some equivalency. Oh, and by all means raise the flag when a Democrat president takes office during peacetime with a surplus, ignores reports of impending terrorist attacks, and spends a huge chunk of his time on vacation.
Oh, and by all means, let’s just lump all science into what “they” tell us. “They” including corporate stooges, half-assed journalists, and outright conspiracy-minded fearmongers. It’s important to weigh your sources.
Science makes mistakes, but the whole point of science is to correct them, something that religion and its cousins have trouble doing. Do you have some special insight that puts you way out ahead of science? Great: tell us something science doesn’t know now and make it stick, or sit back down.
By the way, doctors are human too. Many of them learned to smoke while they were young and have as much trouble quitting as their patients. They know perfectly well that tobacco is bad for them, and have known it for a long time. Cigarettes were called “coffin nails” long before the Surgeon General’s report.
Well, no Fox news here. In fact I don’t watch the news much at all anymore as it’s become all about agenda.
I have friends in Capital hill that keep me informed on a private note and then I ask a ton of questions, from both sides. The one thing I see that is consistent is the hidden agenda on both sides. The goal, to make the other “side” look bad.
I’m curious about something, every president up until now has made promises upon entering the race, and almost all of them have gone back on those promises. And believe me, it’s not just the presidency that does this in politics.
Have you ever actually read a 3600 page bill that is up for vote? Many of our congress, who actually vote on them don’t either. And it’s a matter of public record who actually votes, who shows up and what is being passed in those bills that have nothing to do with the actual bill at all, but are favors or advantages thrown in under the sly.
I’m not poking at democrats in particular, but the entire system actually. There are bad people on both sides, but some are just more out there then some. And then there are the ones that sit in the background and just pull the strings.
My point is that nothing is fair. Everyone is getting along on the backs of others. If you think that Democrats are the gift of the universe because they help people, then why is California broke? Hmmm…. maybe because they have the most illegals pulling at their purse strings, the welfare is the highest in the nation, and the gays are using the court systems to get their agenda out there, after the majority has already voted against it twice in general elections.
I am not bashing gays, and I feel that if they want to be married and be as miserable as the rest of us, then by all means let them marry. However, it is not their right to change a definition of a word that built this country.
As much as you may object to the fact that millions of people believe in God, our country was founded on it. We are, have been and if Obama has his way will no longer be, a country founded on Judea Christian values. And what is so bad about the principals it represents? Hmmm… though shalt not kill, steal, etc.
If not these values then what values then will we succumb to? raping, pillaging, stealing, lying, selfishness, and more I suppose. Oh right, we are already seeing this in our world, and it seems to coincide with taking God our of our schools.
I’m not saying you have to believe in God, but you must admit, that He has some pretty good rules to follow. But then again, it could be a she, or an it for all that matter. And does it really matter? I suppose it does to some.
In regards to science, I don’t choose to believe everything I read regardless of where the source is. In fact I read as many sources and gather as much information as I can. Without taking sides that is. For who am I to judge? It is only my job to learn, take in what is around me and make decisions the best I can with what I’ve been taught. Just like doctors of the 50’ and 60’s who chose to smoke in hospitals along side their patients without any care as to the long term results. However, in a specialty such as medicine, I would suppose that the doctors would have a leg up on the consequences of smoking way before the general public and therefore set an example? I don’t know, it makes sense to me since they are in the medicine, make people better category of life.
If we could all just go back to kindergarten before society pushed all the rules on us and made us choose sides, then maybe we could all get along again. Although now, it’s more like pre-school where we learn the basics of life. In kindergarten today I’m already seeing the clicks of social order forming and the ostracizing of those that are different happening.
I remember one thing however, the darkness holds that which is hidden from all to see. This to mean that the lies, the cheats, etc. are not going to come right out and say, “Hey, I’m scrwing you over, so take it and smile”. No, they are going to keep it hidden, similarly like the Czars who will not be testifying now before congress, per the presidents order. To which is just the opposite of what he said would happen, which was to be transparent. I wonder why the sudden change?
This is supposed to be a free country where everyone has a fair chance to make it in life. No forced religion, no forced politics, no forced labor. And yet it’s become what it is, which is a division of what the country was founded on and all about everybody else outside our country before fixing what’s wrong within our own country.
You can’t tell me that it’s all the Republicans fault that we are at war in what did you say, the wrong country… did President Bush have a full democratic led congress and senate the last four years of his presidency? And so why does he get all the flack for their decisions? Maybe we all need to take a step back and stop blaming or congratulating one man for an entire governments decisions.
If you are curious about the czar comment, google it and you will see a plethora of information about them. Here’s a quote from one source;
“You see the great thing about czar’s is that they operate with impunity and they are “under the radar” when it comes to making policy. They are accountable to nobody, except the administration.
So in effect we have NON-ELECTED officials, who are backed by The White House, who are given the tools and resources to do the bidding of the President and they are accountable to NO ONE! These czar’s don’t have to undergo Senate Confirmation Hearings, they just get appointed.”
and another one;
“In an historic and possibly unconstitutional expansion of Executive authority, President Obama has named more than 30 “czars” with unprecedented and seemingly unlimited authority in a breadth of fields—ranging from U.S. border czar to Iran czar. All are responsible only to Obama. Now, the Messiah’s appointment of czars has been labeled a blatant and unconstitutional power grab by an unusual source—the President pro tempore of the U.S. Senate, Robert Byrd, D-WV. “
and there are many more I could post for you… of course you can do your own research if you’d like, but what struck me funny is the use of the word “Messiah” in relation to Obama… pretty scary if you ask me and I can only guess that it would hit you with a whack as well, since you don’t believe in God and yet Obama is being referred to as God… at least in a Christian sense since Jesus is the only Messiah.
What is scary if you are a scientist of history, is that many groups of people believe that at some given point of time, there will be a false Messiah that will come and lead the people of earth astray, away from God into a time of doom and gloom I guess you could say. It will be then that the worst of times will occur. As to when this will be or if it be the “end of the world” is yet to be determined. But the signs are there for those of us that gather information and look at the entire picture without prejudice.
Let’s see: claims of insider knowledge, check. Talking points from talk radio or WorldNet Daily, check. Double standard, check. (Bush had way more “tzars”, really advisors, than Obama but nobody raised a fuss.) Overblown apocalyptic weirdity and claims of being the only true objective observer, check.
You’re starting to bore me, 1cent. That’s how I see it.
Ha Ha… that was funny! No insider knowledge here, just friends who see what happens each and every day for real. No hidden agenda or media involvement. Just dumb old secretaries that see it all and remain invisible in order to get their job done at the end of the day… ha ha… way too funny, like I’m that important…hee hee…
I don’t listen to talk radio either, just internet info which is far and wide and not always prejudiced by sponsors or political parties. Just someone elses view of what they perceive, like you do here for us. And I read both sides to see what is really being said, or so I hope to see it. Usually, it’s just bashing the other party and putting the garbage out there for all to see in order to smoke screen the truth of what is really going on in the back ground.
From what I found, Obama has been named by the Wall Street Journal as the President with the most Czars in history… hmmm… I guess they must not know what they are talking about either… one of the sources I found was FrontPageMag.com which has correspondents from a lot of different places like ABCNews.com, BBC News, Bill O’Rielly and Bill Maher just to name a few you might have heard of. Actually, they have hundreds of columnists from all over the world and I don’t believe they are just a Republican post. I could be wrong, you can check it out for yourself of course.
As far as apocalyptic weirdty over the word Messiah in reference to Obama, I didn’t say it, it was said by a liberal democrat in a news article. I was just repeating the tone of the conversation that was posted in the article. And I was referring to many groups of people all over the world who have stated the end of the world is near, and how interesting it is to see the rush to confirm that this has started. And as a gatherer of information, that’s what I found to be of interest, not that they were right or wrong for that matter or that I agreed or disagreed.
I can see why I might be boring you though. I’m looking for an educated debate in regards to why some believe this or that and it may be coming across as an argument that I’m trying to prove my agenda as the right way. Not so in my intentions, just the opposite. Maybe that is the issue here, you are not interested in debate and for that then I apologize. I still find it quite humorous that I bore you though…
Why not then enlighten me as to your unbiased opinion of the facts, not the media information that is posted on the news, talk radio, or the internet? Where is the proof? and who do we believe? Who are the scientists in regards to politics and where is the science in it? In other words, what are the equations that prove the hypothesis that this is right or this is wrong?
Maybe I’m in error for thinking that you can put politics in test tubes and create a reasonable experiment and find the truth. Maybe the humanity of our environment is actually the test itself, and so far it’s turning out pretty poorly in regards to a successful theory and conclusion.
Isn’t the matter of science to have different variables and be able to check your answer by balancing the equation? I am just having trouble with the balancing of the equation here since it appears that we are not being fed accurate information to begin with. Therefore, can our logic in regards to the truth be skewed as well? Just one of many hypothesis that I struggle with and am looking for additional information that is unbiased and based on truth… and not the media’s version of truth either.
I apologize if this is offensive, not meant to be, just thought I’d find someone with a higher degree of understanding than I have and I would be able to glean something from it.
I love what you write and will continue to read your forum. I suppose I’ll have to tone down my questions a bit so as not to offend.
No, 1cent, you’re not offending me. If I meant offending, I’d have said offending.
I just don’t feel like wading through the tangle of unrelated gibberish to make sense of it for you. Pretty much I have time to write about one thing at a time, though you apparently have time to write long rambling comments. Maybe you should write a book, or at least a blog.
I’ll just select one topic to answer, then I have to do some other stuff. The most czars in history? I wouldn’t trust the Wall Street Journal any further than I could throw it – their bread is buttered by the moneyed establishment. And even former Republican officials say that czar stuff is nonsense.
Any guesses on which president started appointing czars?
The New York Post is an okay source for sure, but you linked to an editorial? Are you seriously putting that up as your only source for ACORN? An editorial? If you read the sources, or links, in George’s post he linked to above you will find articles discussing ACORN with many links, evidence, and resources provided. And I don’t think any of them are an editorial.
The folks at the far-left radical activist group ACORN are embroiled in a financial corruption and cover-up scandal that they managed to keep hidden from their donors and political partners for eight years. But congrats! You showed us that when questioned you can use Google.
Does that really sound non-biased to you 1cent? A discussion of the issue with an attempt to ascertain some truth? There isn’t a single sentence of open mindedness there.
The embezzlement portion seems accurate, but misused. Were funds embezzled and misused? The answer appears to be yes, but it was an internal issue. How it’s connected to Obama or Dems is utterly absurd. This is an issue dealing only with ACORN.
As Michelle Malkin wrote on these pages last month, the group recently settled the largest case of voter fraud in Washington state history – having submitted thousands of bogus voter-registration forms.
Ah yes because she is a beacon of rationality and open-mindedness? What a joke. Anyway, there are no cases of ACORN committing voter fraud. If you think differently show the links. But you will likely be wasting your time as George’s link already discussed these issues.
Claims of illegal seizure seem unsubstantiated as the author doesn’t provide any links or resources and I couldn’t find anything substantial on the tubes.
As I suspected I wasted my time reading that. Any other links or do you normally form opinions based on one editorial written by a biased individual that gets information for formed opinions from Malkin?
Brilliant!
That was scary and funny.
That just gave me an idea for an iPhone app.
Way too funny… that’s why I vote for the underdog… did you get that clue Gerry?

I guess it would then depend if Acorn was keeping score then too, right?
Y’know, 1cent, Kool-Aid has a lot of artificial flavoring in it.
LOL! Yea what a horrible and menacing organization ACORN is. Helping the the poor and socially forgotten to get homes and to register to vote.
Oh and for Webs05, here’s the link to the New York Post that I found in regards to my comment on the Acorn Scandal:
http://www.nypost.com/p/news/opinion/editorials/another_acorn_scandal_Evy8t8IEYzAoIy5e0xJsHO
I thought they were a reputable source, maybe not? They do quote the groups President Maude Hurd…
It’s a waste of time, Webs; 1cent has inside information from disgruntled secretaries. That’s the Truth!
Agreed.
not TRUTH, as in the implied mine is the only truth, but maybe a different perspective, additional information, that I see you are not interested in.
Cheers! and hats off to the Fool!
