Water and weight

Here’s a little thought for the day: a large Shop Vac can quickly slurp up more water than you can easily lift when emptying the container.  For example, if your Vac is 16 gallon capacity, that’s 133 pounds.  Keep a capacious ladle of some kind handy.

(Rips up English Ivy that channeled storm water down side of house to foundation, lays long strip of roofing rubber along foundation to divert spring stormwater away, while uttering invectives both vulgar and profane…)

Someone was forced into a little unexpected home-improvement, I see.  Damn you, English ivy!

This is the kind of thing that always makes me stop and go “WTF am I thinking?!” every time I get the hankering to own a house.

See that’s the problem with living in the US.

If you used Litres, each of those weighs only 1 Kilo…

I occasionally give my weight in Kilos.  Sounds so much better!

What you need is a shop vac that can reverse that water out another hose connected on the other end and just point that other hose where ever you want the water to go.

    Oh and Damn IVY!!

The water has finally abated, and thank goodness for cold weather.  It requires running the furnace, which lowers the relative humidity in the house.  Thus drying the basement faster.
