Almost there…

The little Firefox browser plugin that’s been tracking “days left in the Bush administration” switched this morning, to counting the hours.  As I write this, about 147 to go.

Here’s a little musical response to Bush’s final press conference.  I know Stevie Wonder wrote it with Nixon in mind but what the hey…

Don’t let the screen door hit you on the ass on the way out, Shrub.

Wrong about absolutely everything, Mr. Bush, absolutely everything.

    AMF.

One thing (only?) I admired about Bush is his commitment to physical fitness.  Of course, Obama will likely surpass him in that regard, not that that is a true measure.  But kudos to both.

Bush has also handled his exit and the transition with more grace than I would have guessed.  All the same, good riddance.

All I want to know is are they going to play the Imperial March on his exit?

Webs, how about the Hallelujah Chorus.

I watched a little bit of Mr. Bush’s self-congratulatory farewell speech last night. This guy obviously does not own a mirror. What a dork we’ve elected twice (well, sort of twice).

Herr Cheney sat front and center, I could almost see the puppet strings. This guy is not a human.

I predict that in 3 years you will be longing for the good old days of Bush.

Because a war with Mexico is coming. And the only way to stop it is to end drug prohibition. And Mr. O will not do that. Why?

“The Latin American drug cartels have stretched their tentacles much deeper into our lives than most people believe. It’s possible they are calling the shots at all levels of government.”

If you just keep in mind “they are all crooks” – some crookeder (Chicago?) than others you will not go wrong.

I predict that is a just plain silly prediction. Bush and his droogs have systematically and downright stupidly created a mess they certainly would only make worse if they were staying, and which cannot be easily repaired by even those with the best of intentions and skills. The fact that their incompetence and depredations will probably result in things getting worse going forward isn’t going to make anyone with a functioning brain long for the return of these venal nincompoops.

As for the drug “war.” It is my view that the two biggest problems in the world today are the ridiculous illegality of drugs (the kind people want to and do use), and mankind’s mismanagement of nature.
