Fox on campus

Saw this resident of our campus on the way to work this morning:

No time to get my big camera out of the backpack, just grabbed the little one with the dusty lens out of my pocket.  In this picture, she’s trying to figure out where to go – there were three people with cameras less than 20 feet away from her.

There have been rumors of a fox on campus for months, and no wonder.  It’s a safe place to live, unless you’re a rabbit… “Nature’s snack-pack”.

We saw a fox near our townhouse here in Ann Arbor not two weeks ago. It seems like they’re showing up in suburban environments more and more these days.

He looks in much better shape than some of the urban fox pictures I have seen.  Foxes embody the beauty of both dogs and cats at the same time, don’t they.  We don’t have very many here in this area because we have too many coyotes.

She seems to be surviving quite well.  I wonder if college campus area attract them. With Les in Ann Arbor and you in Normal.  Maybe they are searching for a better life through education!

I wonder how the squirrel population is taking the news?

I have seen this fox multiple times around Cardinal Court area around early mornings and late evenings !! I think the Golf course area is where the fox usually lives…

Definitely a very very beautiful creature though
