SOme interesting ideas- I like the idea of taxpayers as investors, to be repaid when the market climbs.
Unfortunately for the next president raising taxes is likely to be politically impossible- analysts here have been saying both the UK and US will have to look at cutting spending or raising taxes to pay for the crises.
The problem is becoming money is now no longer moving- banks will not lend to each other- tax raises to pump straight back in to local economies may have to be the answer. It may be ‘Socialist@ and ‘unAmerican’, but if it keeps people in houses and fed then it has to be done- what is ‘unAmerican’ about doing the best thing for America.
