I think the Coulter remark is unutterably stupid, on various planes (as Olberman notes). That said, as much as I like to separate actors from their roles, for his malicious insanity, I’m very inclined never to watch anything with Ben Stein in it again, even stuff (like _Ferris Bueller_) I like.
And I dearly love the original MC (never saw the remake—never felt the need to).
The original is almost always better. I am too disinclined to give a fuck about Stein.
