I don’t know what this song has to do with our empty nest that begins Thursday,
… but it’s in the right key, emotionally. I understand inevitability but i guess I’m not one of those parents who does handsprings.

Love this song! It has to be a crazy feeling to write a song that touches so many generations…
My youngest is graduating this year, too. He’s the 3rd, but it doesn’t get any easier. At least he’s only going to college 100 miles away, closer than either of the girls did, but he’s still gone. I miss all the kids and my oldest has been gone 8 years.
I’ve gone back to college myself to compensate.
Been there, done that. You have my sympathy. But I am on the other side now and life is good. Only thing more special than children is grandchildren. To the future!
Sympathies on your soon-to-be-empty nest.
Congratulations on your Sun Mountain Award! Bravo, George!
It does seem appropriate George. This is also one of my favorite songs.
Man, I don’t have words. I can only think back to when I met you and the brood … young boys full of energy, full of future. The future is now, but it still doesn’t always make sense.
