Are youuu ready to RUM-BULLLLLL! Dawkins meets O’Reilly tonight

8:00 PM EST, Richard Dawkins will be on The Factor. I can’t imagine why he wants to enter the So-Spin Zone so O’Reilly can cut him off, misquote him, and probably blame him for the VT shootings, but it should be quite a spectacle. Hope it goes on YouTube because I won’t be near a TV this evening.

Not likely to convert anyone either way, imho. While both were relatively polite and lowkey, O’Reilly talked a lot more than Dawkins (predictably) and came across as more folksy and less logical. But four minutes was not really enough time for either of them to get up to speed.

Not very juicy which is impressive for any guest on the O’Reilly show, let alone an atheist. But I agree with Zilch, O’Reilly did do most of the talking which is too bad because Dawkins is a very intelligent individual with a lot of interesting ideas.
But as one could guess Billy boy pulled out the whole Hitler, Mao, Stalling, etc… were atheist, so of course morality and atheism are combined into one lump sum. But Bill slyly put this at the very end which did not give Dawkins a chance for a reply. Another “NO SPIN ZONE” Bulls*** tactic.
It didn’t take long for Bill to pull out both the Hitler card and the founding fathers card. Not surprising, of course.
I might have even expected him to start off the interview with “So, Mr. Dawkins, isn’t it true that Hitler and Stalin were atheists while the founding fathers of this great country were Christians?”
I actually think O’Reilly was smart in the way he did it. By waiting till the very end, he knew that Dawkins wouldn’t have the time to defend himself, making it appear as if O’Reilly is correct with his assertion.
I’m surprised Dawkins agreed to go on the Factor. I suppose he did it at his publisher’s request to sell books, and it probably did sell some. Yet, looking for a decent conversation on the Factor is a bit like looking for water in the desert.
O’Reilly was really tame in this one. Dawkins as well. I was hoping for bare knuckles.
Wow, what an exhibition of bluster and insecurity by O’Reilly. The mind of a child in the guise of a grownup.
Maybe next time O’Reilly will pull out the atheist “problem of semantics” right after the “then you can’t be moral” objection.
